Your Pharmacy Team

Tasha Porttin graduated from the University of Alberta with a BScPharm in 2013. She is Alberta born and raised, and moved to Jasper in the fall of 2014.

In her years as a pharmacist, Tasha has put lots of focus on her continuing education. Tasha is an APA Pharmacist (Additional Prescribing Authority). Tasha is also a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE). Additionally, Tasha has done numerous courses in travel health to be able to offer comprehensive travel consultations to individuals prior to travel. 

Tasha is the driving force behind Jasper mettra Pharmacy and is proud to be able to bring her passion for patients and the community into this new business.

Tasha grew up in rural Alberta, and understands the importance of neighbors, locally owned businesses, and community events. Tasha welcomes all people in Jasper to the warm, non-judgmental, confidential, and friendly atmosphere at Jasper mettra Pharmacy. 

 

Jamie Myers graduated from the University of Alberta with a PharmD in 2018. Shortly after graduation, Jamie received his Additional Prescribing Authorization. Jamie was born and raised in Edmonton. 

Jamie is passionate about being active and outdoors in nature. Since moving to Jasper, he has been helping to organize the Tuesday night mountain bike group rides, where all levels of riders can get out and enjoy the trails together. 

Jamie is excited to support Tasha in achieving her vision for pharmacy practice and is so happy to be back serving the community of Jasper!
